About Us

 

Biomedical Informatics Center was established in 2006 with the broad objective of undertaking computational studies in the realm of reproductive health. The center is currently engaged in the study of antimicrobial peptides, target identification for infectious diseases, design of fertility modulators and disease informatics. The center is actively involved in the development of biological and clinical databases and customised electronic patient record systems for clinicians.

As part of education and outreach activities, the center regularly conducts workshops and training programs in bioinformatics. The center provides guidance to postgraduate students for their research projects and offers Ph.D programme through its affiliation with University of Mumbai.
